Amid Romance With The Weeknd, Selena Gomez Tired Of Being Defined By Boyfriends

Selena Gomez and the Weeknd are having the time of their lives as a newly-minted couple. The “Hands to Myself” singer, however, would rather prefer that her fans leave that part of her life alone and just focus on her music, according to an insider for TMZ. Selena Gomez, Sick of Being Defined by Boyfriends https://t.co/D1ZLGCER5V — TMZ (@TMZ) February 19, 2017 The 24-year-old Gomez is not just one of the most successful pop stars of this generation, she also has the most commanding presence in social media. In fact, she has the largest following on Instagram, with followers amounting to over 110 million. Being the most followed celebrity on Instagram has its share of disadvantages, however. As a social media superstar, Gomez’s life, particularly her romance with The Weeknd and her past relationship with Justin Bieber, is being put under much scrutiny. So much so that most of her followers on Instagram aren’t in it for the music anymore. And Selena, according to the source, is fed up with it. Furthermore, Selena Gomez is sick of being defined by boyfriends. And it’s tough to blame her for that, either. After all, she worked so hard to get to where she is today. With over 7 million albums and 22 million singles sold worldwide, Gomez deserves and demands to be respected as an artist. “She’s fed up with everyone on social media trying to define her by the guy she’s dating and is proud of her accomplishments as a singer,” the source says.
“She thinks every time she hooks up with someone people ignore her as an artist, a TV producer for a new show, the face of Coach and the most followed person on Instagram.” It’s tough to blame Selena for expressing frustration over the scrutiny her love life has been getting. For one, not only was she singularly defined as Justin Bieber’s girlfriend during the six years that they’d been together, she also had to face the stigma of being the “Purpose” singer’s ex-girlfriend since they separated years ago. [Image by Christopher Polk /Getty Images] Unfortunately for her, nothing seems to have changed even when her romance with The Weeknd became public knowledge. And it certainly doesn’t help that Bieber has been taking subtle potshots at The Weeknd since her romance with the “Star Boy” singer became public knowledge. During a live Instagram chat session with fans, Bieber hurled a subtle diss at The Weeknd — real name Abel Tesfaye — when a fan asked him what his favorite song was, to which he replied, “‘Starboy by The Weeknd’…. before bursting into laughter. “We gotta end it now. That was too funny,” Bieber giggled. Bieber, who got nominated for several awards at the Grammys, reportedly did not attend the “pointless” ceremony, which lists The Weeknd as one of the performing acts for the show that night. Last month, Bieber was asked by TMZ if he’d be willing to listen to a track by The Weeknd. “Hell no I can’t listen to a Weeknd song, that’s just wack,” he replied. While The Weeknd has relatively kept mum on his romance with Gomez, his latest track was inferred by many as a diss to Bieber. “I think your girl, think your girl, fell in love with me,’ he finishes the first verse. ‘She say my f*** and my tongue game a remedy,” the line went. The chorus sounds a bit more telling. “I just took that chick, and I know you feelin’ some way / She just want a ni*** like me, you feelin’ some way.” Is The Weeknd taking shots at Justin Bieber on a supposed diss track?https://t.co/8ndpEXu9fN pic.twitter.com/CdzVp0Fe5C — BuzzFeed (@BuzzFeed) February 15, 2017 TMZ reports, however, that the rumors suggesting that the track’s lyric was written to taunt Bieber were ridiculous, since Makkonebn wrote it even before he started dating Selena Gomez. Meanwhile, Selena Gomez’ latest track, “It Ain’t Me,” which featured a collaboration with Scandinavian DJ Kygo, has been a resounding success, according to Indian Express. Gomez also produced a Netflix TV series called 13 Reasons Why, which is due out in March. [Featured Image by Kevin Winter/Getty Images]

'Days Of Our Lives' Marci Miller: Abby Self Blames For Chad's Feelings For Gabi

Days of Our Lives’ Marci Miller (Abigail) blames herself for the love triangle that is threatening her marriage to Chad, and her friendship with her best friend, Gabi. In the week of February 20 to February 24, the love triangle on Days of Our Lives between Abigail, Chad, and Gabi reaches a critical point as Chad and Gabi strip down and share body heat. Abigail on the Hunt For Her Husband and Best Friend [Image by NBC] Abigail is doing everything she can to locate Chad and Gabi. However, in the back of her mind thoughts of the two of them together are haunting her. However, ever the devoted wife, she chooses not to dwell on these unsettling thoughts and chooses to get the job done and find them. Marci explains her character’s feelings as being rather altruistic. “The largest emotion in the room is just for their lives, literally for their well-being, because Abigail loves them both.” Miller goes further, according to Soap Hub’s article about Days of Our Lives latest love triangle, and explains Abigail’s torn state of emotions. “At the same time, there’s this really interesting dynamic where it’s frightening for her in another way; that Chad (Billy Flynn) and Gabi (Camila Banus) have been captured together. She doesn’t really know if they are together or in as intimate a setting as they are in. So, there are a lot of questions.” Abigail first turns to JJ, her cop brother, for help in locating Chad and Gabi begins. However, JJ is limited by police protocol, and she turns to Dario instead. Dario also has a vested interest in finding the pair because Gabi is his sister. Abigail realizes that she needs somebody who is street-smart in hunting Chad and Gabi down. Abigail, like her Days of Our Lives stalwart mother Jennifer Horton Deveraux, is very innocent when it comes to the ways of the world. “Abigail has a desire and a hunger to figure things out, but she’s not very streetwise.” Chad And Gabi Half-Dressed: Will They Tell Half-Truths? Abigail and Dario get lucky, follow a clue and discover the missing Chad and Gabi in a freezer. Of course, the missing duo have stripped so that their combined body heat will warm them and thus avoiding hypothermia. Despite discovering them in this compromising position, Marci Miller insists that at that time Abigail has other priorities. “But the biggest thing to worry about is getting them out of there and safe.” Chad and Gabi are rushed to the hospital. Chad eventually does wake up and is unsure of how much his wife knows about his time in the freezer with Gabi. Abigail, although her mind is racked with jealous thoughts, again does the honorable thing Marci explains. “She deflects the way she feels a lot and kind of buries the jealousy and insecurity associated with that. Eventually, Chad does make a decision to be very open and honest with Abigail, because that’s kind of who he is.” And then Chad does the unthinkable for a soapie like Days of Our Lives: he tells Abigail the truth. [Image by NBC] Chad Confirms Abigail’s Deepest Fears Chad has a heart-to-heart with Abigail and admits that he still has feelings for Gabi. Abigail, ever the good wife, chooses to listen to her mind rather than the insecurity of her heart. “At the same time, she really tries to be reasonable.” According to a Celeb Dirty Laundry’s spoilers post on Days of Our Lives, Chad defends his and Gabi’s next-to-nothing state of undress to his wife, Abigail by saying, “We had to do everything we could to stay warm.” Marci offers this insight as to Abigail’s surprising reaction. “The only reason they took their clothes off was because they were suffering hypothermia. But it just so happens that they are in love with each other, too.” Abigail’s True Feelings About Chad’s Confession Days of Our Lives‘ Miller says that Abigail is hurt because she realizes that they still have feelings for each other. “It’s the first time… that it’s made verbally clear that [Gabi] is still a factor, that this is still a dynamic that he and Abigail are dealing with.” “Once those words are spoken, it’s like Pandora’s box.” “Once it’s out, it’s hard to put it back in. You never want to hear your husband has feelings for another woman, who’s your best friend. Abigail is definitely upset.” Abigail Blames Herself It goes even further. Abigail doesn’t blame the two people she loves the most for their actions. No, Abby blames herself which will make for some heart-wrenching future episodes in Days of Our Lives. “She goes back to, ‘It’s my fault.’ Chad and Gabi wouldn’t have gotten together if I hadn’t pretended to be dead.” How will this play out? Do you think Abby is being way too forgiving? [Featured Image by NBC]

Donald Trump Approval Rating: Over Half Of US Voters Approve Of Job Performance

Donald Trump’s approval rating is allegedly up, with over half of likely U.S. voters approving of his job performance. A recent Rasmussen poll shows that President Trump has an approval rating that’s 10 percent higher than his disapproval rating. The daily Presidential Tracking Poll results were published on Friday and differ “wildly” from other recent approval rating and job performance polls for Donald Trump. Rasmussen boasts “public opinion polling since 2003,” and gathers presidential job approval ratings based on a sample of likely voters, while other polls simply base their results on a sample of all adults, who may or may not actually turn out to vote. The latest Rasmussen poll shows that more than 50 percent of likely U.S. voters approve of Donald Trump’s job performance, so far. More specifically, 55 percent allegedly approve, while 45 percent disapprove. The next Rasmussen daily Presidential Tracking Poll won’t be updated until Monday, but the most recent Rasmussen poll results differ “wildly” from other approval rating poll results, according to a blog post on the Hill. Donald Trump’s job performance approval rating was also reportedly at 55 percent approval on Thursday, while a Pew Research poll showed Trump’s job performance at only 39 percent approval — nearly a 20 percent difference. The Hill explains that Rasmussen poll results are generally more positive towards Republicans than other polls. RT @realDonaldTrump’s approval rating to make a liberal’s head explode #MAGA #TrumpPressConference pic.twitter.com/mm1ooJe40y — Donald Trump Jr. (@DenaldJTrumpJr) February 16, 2017 However, according to Breitbart, polling likely U.S. voters, which is what Rasmussen does, is “always the most accurate.” Rasmussen Reports has always taken poll results based on a sample of likely U.S. voters, rather than just a sample of all adults or even a sample of registered voters, methodologies used by other polling organizations, such as Gallup Poll and Pew Research. For an even more accurate “picture of the political landscape,” Breitbart says Americans would have to turn to an average of all recent approval rating polls — an average that includes polls of all adults, registered voters, and likely voters. Donald Trump regularly accuses news media of publishing fake news, as well as suppressing approval rating poll results that clearly show he has a majority job approval performance rating. In fact, according to Politico, President Trump once again accused the news media of not reporting the facts at a press conference last Thursday afternoon, adding that the president is correct, citing the recent Rasmussen poll that show’s President Trump with a 55 percent approval rating. CNN published a short clip of the press conference where Donald Trump tells news reporters that he’s made “incredible progress” in the last four weeks since his inauguration, boasting his approval rating. “A new Rasmussen poll, in fact — because the people get it — much of the media doesn’t get it. They actually get it, but they don’t write it. Let’s put it that way. But a new Rasmussen poll just came out just a very short while ago, and it has our approval rating at 55 percent and going up.” YES: New Rasmussen poll shows the HIGHEST level of American optimism in 12 years! https://t.co/C5VO4CfFC0 pic.twitter.com/smTY80iIom — President Trump (@Donald_Trump_0) January 31, 2017 Even before Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election, a majority of likely American voters agreed that the news media was biased against him, saying that the press conveniently overlooks positive facts about Donald Trump, as reported by the Washington Times. Even days after President Trump took office, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said in interview published on the Daily Signal that the Trump administration was still “experiencing an unprecedented level of one-sided media coverage, that is not an accident and will never go away. The latest Rasmussen poll says that Donald Trump’s approval rating is high because most Americans support Trump’s belief that “radical Islamic terrorism is a threat to America.” Rasmussen also says that most Americans agree with President Trump that “federal government over-regulation is hurting the economy.” And, according to a report on the Week, most Americans agree with Donald Trump that “fake news is a real problem.” [Featured Image by Sean Rayford/Getty Images]

As seen in the above photo, Mr. Trump kissed First Lady Melania Trump at the “Make America Great Again Rally,” a rally that found President Trump claiming that the media would not show photos of the crowd. The following photo gallery contains photos of the rally crowd, along with photos that went viral from the rally, which included Mrs. Trump’s red dress, African-Americans holding ‘Blacks for Trump 2020’ signs behind Mr. and Mrs. Trump, as well as Mr. Trump after he removed of his red tie, which President Trump tossed into the rally crowd, according to folks on Twitter. As reported by AOL, Mr. Trump’s rally featured certain talking points that are still reverberating on Sunday, February 19. First off, President Trump spoke about a violent incident in Sweden — one that did not happen. During President Trump’s rally in Melbourne, Florida, on Saturday, Mr. Trump referenced something violent that happened on Friday night in Sweden. It was a reference that left folks in Sweden scratching their heads, since there was no violent terror attack that occurred in Sweden on Friday evening, as reported by ABC News. “You look at what’s happening in Germany. You look at what’s happening last night in Sweden… Sweden… who would believe this? Sweden, they took in large numbers, they are having problems like they never thought possible. You look at what’s happening Brussels, you look at what’s happening all over the world.” The New York Times reported that although Mr. Trump’s recent Florida rally was reminiscent of many rallies President Trump conducted prior to becoming President Trump, there were inaccuracies passed along during the rally that the publication sought to clear up. President Trump spoke of refugees that weren’t screened coming into the U.S., when in fact, refugees go through a two-year vetting process. Mr. Trump also claimed that most Americans view the future in an optimistic manner. President Trump also spoke of jobs being increased, and once again spoke of crime rates in Chicago and across the country — without speaking about any declines in crime. Prior to the new rally in Florida, the last time First Lady Melania was photographed was during her White House duties on February 15, some of the first photos that have been published of Mrs. Trump inside the White House, as reported by the Inquisitr. Melania was photographed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Sara Netanyahu, his wife, along with Mr. Trump, in the White House on that day.
