Lil Kim Reportedly Owes Over $1 Million In Taxes, Responds

There have been plenty of celebrities now and in the past who have been the center of various tax issues, and now it’s looking like Lil Kim is at the forefront of some large numbers that the IRS is asking for from the New York based rapper.

While it’s an easy task for these artists to forget about their tax seasons year in and year out, it’s become obvious that they all need to pay more attention to Uncle Sam. The Queen Bee has reportedly been noted to owe $1,026,862.42 in back taxes. With an already high amount of $86,347.85 from 2009, Lil Kim has been racking up her total every year from 2002-2009.

Her publicist has responded to the information that TMZ posted, sharing:

It is a known fact that for some time TMZ has been running stories on celebrities or well known persons of interest and providing the general public and media with publicly accessible information on random celebrities and their private matters with the internal revenue service, [...] As it pertains to the story that was ran on TMZ(February 4,2012)regarding Lil’ Kim, we would like to inform fans,media, and the general public, that LIL’ KIM has hired professional attorneys to handle this matter(embellished by all standards via the media), and that she,along with her team of legal experts are working cooperatively and diligently with the I.R.S and federal authorities to amicably resolve the situation.

We’ll surely see soon if Nicki Minaj has any more diss tracks to fire off after hearing that Lil Kim is behind on her taxes.
